Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary is Norfolk’s only seal sanctuary open to visitors, and is home to over 2,000 creatures, from tiny shrimps to Amazonian piranhas. The state-of-the art marine aquarium takes visitors on an undersea odyssey of close encounters with an astonishing variety of sea creatures in spectacular high-tech displays. A team of friendly rainforest rangers are on hand to let you hold their jungle beasties, including snakes, lizard and giant creepy crawlies. SEA LIFE has a dedicated seal rescue hospital where visitors can see juveniles in the nursery ward, and a spacious outdoor pool with underwater viewing area. Sharks and turtles can be viewed via an underwater walkthrough tunnel. |

The station has a lifeboat and hovercraft. The RNLI shop at the lifeboat station opens in the school summer holidays Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 1pm. The prom runs all the way from the end of the cliffs, past the Sea Life Sanctuary and Oasis Leisure Centre to Heacham. It's perfectly flat and ideal for a gentle walk to enjoy the bracing sea breezes at any time of the year! If you walk the entire length, it's about two miles each way. |
