An open evening and reception at Hunstanton Heritage Centre organised by Hunstanton and District Civic Society. The evening will be dedicated to rail travel in general and the King’s Lynn to Hunstanton railway in particular.
The evening will begin with a reception at 6.30pm when visitors will have the opportunity to view the Railway Room and new exhibits on loan - a train driver’s seat and a pair of First Class seats from one of the Class 365 trains that plied the line between King’s Lynn and King’s Cross between 1996 and 2021, often used by Her Majesty the Queen on her visits to and from Norfolk.
Local resident Howard Johnston, well known as a major contributor and editor of Railway magazines, will be giving a short talk on progress of the initiative to reinstate the King’s Lynn to Hunstanton railway, bringing us up to date on the current status of the project.
A number of interesting rail publications will also be available to purchase at a reduced price during the evening.
Spaces are limited and a £5 entry fee will be charged to cover costs.
Burnham Market is a pretty and trendy North Norfolk village. The Green is the main street, having interesting independent shops ranged along the street with grassy areas between the shops and the road.
