The Norfolk Coast Path starts at Hunstanton and runs along the coast to Cromer, with most of it passing through the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Along the path you'll see sandy beaches, dunes, cliffs, salt marshes, rolling farmland, and an abundance of birdlife.

Why not leave the car behind, walk along the Coast Path, and get the Coast Hopper back? For bus information see Norfolk Green or phone 01553 776980.

Some suggested local walks:

  • Hunstanton to Old Hunstanton - either through the Esplanade Gardens and along the cliff top, or along the beach beneath the cliffs, passing the wreck of the Sheraton on the way - about a mile each way.
  • Hunstanton promenadeto Heacham - a flat easy walk of about 2 miles each way.
  • Hunstanton to Holme Next the Sea - an extension of the above walk, through Old Hunstanton and along the Coast Path behind Hunstanton Golf Course and beside the River Hun - about three miles each way. (The Peddars Way joins the Coast Path at this village if you wish to extend the walk.)
  • Coast Path starting at Brancaster Staithe, Burnham Deepdale or Burham Overy Staithe - you might need to use your car or the Coasthopper to get to these villages.
